Tennessee is not included on SNHU's current FNP admissions list. Residents should obtain a current answer from Admissions before doing any FNP outreach, especially if a public page changes later. SNHU's non-NP MSN specializations and RN-to-BSN remain available in Tennessee, with approval attached to the specific course, activities, supervisor, and organization.

AANP places Tennessee in the restricted practice category. State rules restrict at least one element of NP practice and require regulated career-long supervision, delegation, or team management. Screen the actual professional arrangement of an NP candidate. Students remain under the approved preceptor, course limits, and facility policy.

The Tennessee Board of Nursing is the official source for nurse and APRN licensing information. Verify the legal name, current credentials, advanced practice role, population focus, public conditions, and the professional arrangement relevant to Tennessee practice. Save the verification date.

For Nursing Education, Healthcare Quality and Safety, Nurse Executive Leadership, or Population Healthcare, assess graduate preparation and the candidate's real organizational authority. RN-to-BSN community experience may require another supervisor profile. Ask SNHU for the current course criteria before presenting a match.

Nashville, Franklin, Murfreesboro, Hendersonville, and Clarksville form a broad Middle Tennessee market. Memphis anchors western Tennessee, with Jackson as another option. Knoxville and Chattanooga serve the east, while Johnson City, Kingsport, and Bristol form the Tri-Cities corridor.

A statewide request is less effective than a clear local brief. Include the SNHU track, course, dates, weekly availability, project or population focus, and repeatable drive. SNHU publishes at least 750 total FNP clinical hours under preceptors across five courses, but Tennessee is not currently open for FNP admissions. Each non-NP MSN track publishes 135 practicum hours. RN-to-BSN includes community clinical practice experiences without a universal published total. SNHU has no DNP.
